Standardization Committee of Shanghai Ceramic Society held a review meeting for group standard 《Lead-free UV-transmitting glass tube》on Sept. 12^th, 2018. The director of Standardization Committee, professor of Dong Hua University Mr. Ning Wei presided over the meeting. The assessment group was composed of 5 assessment specialists from Tong Ji University, Shanghai University of Applied Technology and Shanghai Institute of Ceramics Chinese Academy of Sciences. Mr. Wu Yongqing, who is an evaluation expert of National Standards Committee and assistant director of industry department of science and technology of Shanghai Institute of Ceramics Chinese Academy of Sciences, was in charge of the assessment group. Through careful discussion the standard was approved unanimously.

The project of group standard 《Lead-free UV-transmitting glass tube》was set up by Shanghai Ceramic Society and the standard was drafted by Shanghai Luojin Photoelectric Technology Co., Ltd. and Dong Hua University. Lead-free UV-transmitting glass tube was developed and produced by Shanghai Luojin Photoelectric Technology Co., Ltd. This technology filled in the gaps of producing lead-free UV-transmitting glass tube in Southeast Asia，The long history of having to rely on imports is now ended. This company has won the Shanghai Invention Award of Science and Technology.
