“2017 Postgraduate Forum on Advanced Materials” was held at Shanghai Institute of Technology on 1^st Dec. 2017. This forum was designed to create a good atmosphere for scientific innovation, promote academic exchange amongst postgraduates from various research institutes and universities, and also promote innovation and cooperation in different academic fields, so as to promote development of disciplines. The council member, director of planning and discipline construction office of Shanghai Institute of Technology Mr. Fang Yongzheng and the council member, director of the popular science work committee and director of Shanghai Institute of Technology Mr. Xu Jiayao made their conference address. Almost 100 experts and postgraduate students from research institutes and universities attended the symposium.
