The annual “Shanghai International Industrial Ceramic and New Material Exhibition(SIC CHINA 2017)” was successfully concluded on June 9th, 2017. This exhibition, which was sponsored by Shanghai Ceramic Association, together with Chinese Material Research Society and Shanghai New Material Association, lasted 3 days and gathered the various research institutes, manufacturers and service providers from industrial ceramic fields involving raw materials, processing, ceramic products, equipment, automatic control, instruments and designing service, etc. This exhibition attracted more than 17000 professional visitors from 31 provinces and autonomous regions in China and 24 different countries and regions in the world.
The exhibition fully embodies the development of industrial ceramic industry and current market demand in China. New technologies, such as intelligence, low energy consumption and high efficiency, and new products were the focus points of this exhibition. A total of 13 seminars which were held simultaneously with the exhibition concentrated on the hot points of the industry and deep technical exchanges that covered solar energy technology, nano-technology, sapphire crystal growth technology, graphene, composite material, thin film technology and 3D printing technology, etc. Amongst the seminars the “2017’Symposium on Advanced Ceramic Technology” was sponsored by special organic material committee of SCS. At the symposium some specialists were invited to present professional report to introduce the development front and trend of electronic ceramics, such as SPS sintered mesoporous powders, the application of ceramic powder in thermal spraying, bismuth ferric based high temperature piezoelectric ceramics and its application prospect, glass based dielectric material for high power density energy storage, solid electrolyte and lithium rechargeable battery, design of high performance pyroelectric ceramics and research on microstructure modulation and its application, chemical mechanical polishing of zirconia ceramics and recommendations for industrial ceramic industry development and energy conservation and emission reduction technology, etc.
