The midterm review for industrial development investigation was held by Shanghai Ceramic Society (SCS) on Dec. 14th 2016. Report and deliberation of the research project “Using solid waste to prepare new building material and its development in Shanghai area” distributed by Shanghai Association for Science and Technology were carried out. The director of Ordinary Inorganic Materials Committee of SCS Mr. Jing Zhenzi, the deputy director Mr. Zhu Hongbo and the members of the research project as well as the vice president of SCS Mr. Wang Deping and secretary general Madam Gu Zhonghua attended the review meeting. Mr. Su Qi who is in charge of “Investigation of disciplinary and industrial development” was invited to participate in the meeting.
Due to the increase of construction waste in China, it is estimated that the solid waste would exceed 1 billion tons. Therefore, to make clear the situation of utilization of municipal solid waste, to use the experience of developed countries for reference so as to save resources, protect environment and improve comprehensive utilization of solid waste becomes an urgent hard job. If this technique can actually used for disposal of building rubbish, it would promote “to use solid waste for preparing new building material”, to protect environment and to benefit our society.
