The second popular science work meeting in 2016 was held by Shanghai Ceramic Society (SCS) on Dec.1st 2016. A total of 15 persons including the vice president of SCS Mr. Ning Wei, Director of popular science committee Mr. Xu Jiayao, the secretary general of SCS Madam Gu Zhonghua and specially invited evaluation experts as well as the members of furnace and equipment committee of SCS attended the meeting.

 The meeting was presided over by secretary general Madam Gu. The vice president of SCS Mr. Ning Wei briefly introduced the situation of copy editing of Popular Science Anthology Ⅳ, time arrangement, text revision, article categories and article contributors. After revision, collating, review and discussion the Popular Science Anthology Ⅳ collected 58 articles involving glass material, crystal material, high-performance ceramic, advanced building material, new energy material and its application and graphene material, etc. The main contributors were post graduate students and under graduate students from Donghua University, Shanghai Institute of Technology, Tongji University, Shanghai University and Shanghai Institute of Ceramics Chinese Academy of Sciences (SICCAS), etc.
