The former director of Furnace and Equipment Committee of Shanghai Ceramic Society professor Sun Chengxu of East China University of Science and Technology died in early May. To cherish the memory of the former director and famous expert and carry forward his spirit “down-to-earth dedication, wholehearted service and realistic and rigorous research style”, a memorial meeting was specially held by Furnace and Equipment Committee of Shanghai Ceramic Society. At the memorial meeting his outstanding achievements and contribution to Shanghai Ceramic Society were reviewed. All the participants expressed their willingness to carry forward his spirit and make more contributions to development of Furnace and Equipment Committee and Shanghai Ceramic Society.
