The second preparation meeting for International Glass Symposium was held at the conference room of China Triumph International Engineering Co., Ltd. in Shanghai on July 7th of 2015. Total of 23 persons including The Chairman of International Glass Association, Secretary General of Chinese Ceramic Society, the director of preparatory committee and the related specialists and staff attended the meeting. Firstly, The Chairman of International Glass Association Mr. Peng Shou delivered a brief speech. Then The secretary general of Chinese Ceramic Society Mr.Jin Zhanping emphasized 3 requirements for the preparation work. The member of preparatory group introduced the progress of the preparation work and the arrangement of the next stage of the preparation work. At the meeting the distribution of venues, the deadline of paper submission and sponsorship were discussed. The 2016’ Symposium of International Glass Association will be held at Shanghai Pudong International Conference Centre in the mid-April of the following year. Around 600 persons from all over the world are expected to attend this symposium. With 14 venues the symposium will involve topics such as glass structure theory, deep processing of glass, measuring techniques and characteristics, advanced glass melting technology and environmental protection, ancient glass, glass coating and advanced functional glass materials, etc.
