The tenth congress and election for expiration were held at the conference hall in Shanghai Institute of Ceramics Chinese Academy of Sciences on July 6^th of 2015. A total of 92 representatives from universities, research institutes and some enterprises in Shanghai attended this congress. The attendees of the congress should be 105 representatives and actually there were 92 representatives present at the congress that exceeded two thirds of the total. The Secretary General of Chinese Ceramic Society Mr. Jin Zhanping, Deputy Secretary General Mr. Tan Fu, The Vice Chairman of Shanghai Association for Science and Technology Mr. Li Hongming, The Deputy Director of Academic Department of Shanghai Association for Science and Technology Mr. Wang Chunming, Director of Social Organization Department of Shanghai Administration Bureau of NGOs Mr. Ju Wenwei attended the congress. This congress was divided into two phases. At the first phase the Vice President of 9^th Council of SCS Mr. Sun Jianan summarized the 9^th council work; The Secretary General of 9^th Council Mr. Zhang Shen presented the financial report and the instruction of revised constitution of SCS. All the above documents were passed through vote by raising hands. The agenda of the second phase was election for next council. Through the harmonious, ordered, democratic, formal election and counting process the next council was born. According to the counting result all the 35 candidates were elected with the votes over 2/3. Immediately after the election the newly elected council members were convoked to hold the first meeting of 10^th council. The new president and vice president as well as the secretary general were elected by secret ballot. Song Lixin was elected as president of tenth council of Shanghai Ceramic Society, Wang Deping, Ning Wei, Sun JIanan, Liu Changsheng and Hu Lili were elected as vice presidents, and Gu Zhonghua was elected as the secretary general of Shanghai Ceramic Society. All the elected candidates won the votes over 2/3. Finally, the Secretary General of Chinese Ceramic Society Mr. Jin Zhanping, the Vice Chairman of Shanghai Association for Science and Technology Mr. Li Hongming delivered their ebullient speech, respectively. The leaders of Chinese Ceramic Society and Shanghai Association for Science and Technology highly praised the 9^th council’s successful work by their down-to-earth attitude and serious pragmatic style. They also have high expectation for the new council.
