A colloquium on “Project of cooperation amongst manufacturers, universities and research institutes for research and development of inorganic biological materials” was held by The Biological and Environmental Protective Materials Committee on July 11th in Shanghai. The members of the Committee coming from SICCAS, East China University of Science & Technology and Shanghai Tongji University attended this colloquium. The secretary general of SCS presided over the colloquium. The progress of the project “Platform construction for application of inorganic biological materials to biomedical field” was briefly introduced and the plan of the further work was proposed. After discussion the colloquium decided that the forum on intentional cooperation between Shanghai Ceramic Society and MicroPort Medical（Shanghai）Co., Ltd. is planned to be held on August 15th in the Meeting room of SCS.
