“The 2012 Communication meeting on Promoting Development of Fundamental Research”was held by Shanghai Association for Science and Technology (SAST) on Jan.22nd. Mr. Pan Qi, the director of academic department of SAST, and Mr. Zhang Shi-jun attended the meeting. The directors of 10 academic societies of SAST and the chiefs of research projects also attended the meeting. The secretary general of Shanghai Ceramic Society Mr. Zhang Shen and research fellow Liu Xuanyong of Inorganic Biological and Environmental Protective Materials Committee also participated in the meeting. On behalf of SCS Mr. Liu Xuanyong presented the report of progress of this project “Research on inorganic biological materials and platform construction for its application in biomedical field”.
