A Symposium on “Application of New Advanced Materials Transferred from Expo 2010 Shanghai China” sponsored by Shanghai Association for Science and Technology was held on May 13th 2011, at conference room of Shanghai New International Expo Centre. Vice chairman of Shanghai Association for Science and Technology Mr. Yang Guang-sheng, Deputy General Secretary of Chinese Ceramic Society Mr. Tan Fu and President of Shanghai Ceramic Society Mr. Chen Li-dong were present at the symposium and made their presentations. The representatives from universities, research institutes and academic societies in Shanghai and also from domestic and foreign enterprises participated in the symposium. During the symposium the research fellow Mr. Wang Dong from research institute presented the report with title of “Application of Piezoelectric Transducer to Post-Expo”; Technical Director of Enterprise Mr. Xiao Yu presented his report “Shanghai Expo and Development of Curtain Wall Glass”; General Secretary of Industrial Association Mr. Wang Kangping reported his research paper “Consideration on Development of LED at Post-Expo”.
