The Third Session of 8th Committee of Shanghai Association for Science and Technology was held on March 26th, 2008. The leaders of Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and Shanghai Municipal Government participated in this meeting. The leaders of SCS were also invited to attend this meeting. The chairman of Shanghai Association for Science and Technology presented work statement. The vice secretary of Shanghai Municipal Party Committee made an important speech at the end of this meeting.

“Celebration for 2008 Lantern Festival of SAST ”(Shanghai Association for Science and Technology) organized by Service Centre of SAST was held on Feb. 20, 2008.

“Conference for Summary of Work in 2007 and 2008 Council Meeting of SCS”was held on Jan.30,2008. Vice President of Shanghai Association for Science and Technology Mr.Hu Jialun and Director of Academic Dept. of Shanghai Association for Science and Technology Mr. Lin Wei attended this conference. Mr.Chen li-dong, President of Shanghai Ceramics Society held this meeting and Mr.Zhang Shen, Secretary General of SCS gave the Summary of Work in 2007 for SCS.

The 4th Congress of Second Session of Shanghai Exhibition Association was held on Jan. 21st, 2008. Representatives of Foreign Economic and Trade Commission and Party Committee of Shanghai Social Work, President of Shanghai Expo and President and Vice President of Shanghai Exhibition Association participated in this congress. The Secretary General of SCS was invited to participate in this congress.

“2008 Spring Festival Tea-Party” sponsored by Glass Working Technology Committee of SCS was held on Jan. 13, 2008. The work of this committee in 2007 was summarized and the proposal of work in 2008 was also discussed.

“2007 Summing-up meeting of Furnace and Equipment Committee of SCS” was held on Jan. 16th, 2008. The work of this committee in 2007 was summarized and the work in 2008 was proposed. About 40 members of this Committee participated in this meeting.
