18th International Glass Industrial Technical Exhibition, which was sponsored by Chinese Ceramic Society and Shanghai Ceramic Society, was held at International Expo Centre in Shanghai from May 16th to 19th. According to the electronic detected statistic data on May 16th, i.e. the opening day, there were more than 15 thousand persons and about 2000 foreigners visiting this Exhibition. During this exhibition over 35 thousand persons in all visited this exhibition.

In this Exhibition the exhibiting area was over 45,000 m2 and exhibitors were from 630 enterprises, professional media, and research and development institutes including 230 foreign exhibitors from 23 different countries and districts. U.S., Germany, Italy and Belgium organized their own professional group to come to visit this exhibition. The famous glass manufacturers and machinery producers in China also exhibited their own new glass materials and processing equipment. During this exhibition there were 18 professional special seminars focusing on energy saving and environmental protection in glass manufacturing processes. The R&D experts and professional technicians at home and abroad attended these seminars enthusiastically.
