The Chief Representative of Shanghai Office of Sumitomo Cement Corporation Mr. Ichimura and Miss Li Wei paid a visit to SCS on July 28th of 2006. They were accorded a cordial reception by The Secretary General of SCS Mr. Zhang Shen.

Sumitomo Cement Corporation is a famous cement, building material and advanced ceramic manufacturer in the world. The Shanghai Office was established in April of 2005. The purpose of their visit is to promote interchange between Sumitomo and SCS, encourage technical and informational exchange and further development of new advanced ceramics.

The Secretary General of SCS Mr. Zhang Shen briefly introduced the general situation and the recent activities of SCS to Japanese guests and also discussed with them on the topic of combination of production with study and research. Mr. Ichimura expressed his appreciation for this reception and arrangement and at the same time he introduced the general situation of Sumitomo Cement Corporation and some actions that the Shanghai Office is going to take. He hopes that he is able to attend some activities of SCS,so that he will be able to carry out further academic and technical exchange with specialists of SCS.

During this visit, the Japanese guests browsed the exhibits demonstrated by SCS, and also learnt about brief reports and webpage published by SCS.
