Professional Skill Competition in Xuhui District of Shanghai will be staged at the beginning of August, 2006. In order to examine the results in professional training and exercise student’s professional skill for seeking a good job, Shanghai Material Engineering College bid for a new competition project — 《Inspection of interior decoration materials》.

Now the detail competition scheme is being worked out by Shanghai Material Engineering College.

Research Fellow Mr. Shi Jianlin of SCS Won Second Award of “First Session of Science & Technology Award of Chinese Material Research Society”

The “First Session of Science & Technology Award of Chinese Material Research Society” was announced a few days ago. The project “Study on sintering theory of solid phase of advanced ceramics and its relevant matters” conducted by research fellow Mr. Shi Jianlin of Shanghai Institute of Ceramics Chinese Academy of Sciences won the second award. Chinese Material Research Society held the award-giving meeting at Beijing International Conference Centre on June 28, 2006. The research fellow Mr. Shi Jianlin was invited to attend this meeting. The research work for this project started at middle of 1980s. Through about 20 years efforts this fundamental research on inorganic materials has been finally finished with complete success. There were over 30 scientific research papers published by this project and overseas researchers quoted more than 270 times from these papers in their work. Two proceedings were published and played an important role for heightening research level on solid sintering for advanced ceramics and relevant subjects.
