Cross-Strait Symposium of Technology Indigenous Innovation which was sponsored by Shanghai Science and Technology Association and Science and Technology Management Institute of Taiwan Political University was held on July 6～7，2006 in Shanghai. About 300 persons coming from relevant departments of Shanghai Municipality, research institutes, universities, private technical enterprises and representatives of Shanghai Ceramic Society attended this symposium. Vice President of Shanghai Science and Technology Association, Professors from Taiwan Political University and Shanghai University, Deputy Director of Japan Senior Industrial Technical College, Specialist from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Shanghai Institute of Science, and assistant professor from Singapore National University present their reports to this symposium on the topic of “self innovation” by their individual view points. Their reports are of great interests and slenderness.
