17th China International Glass Industrial Technical Exhibition, which was sponsored by Chinese Ceramic Society and organized by China National Association for Glass Industry, Chinese Architectural & Industrial Glass Association, and Beijing Zhonggui Exhibition Co., Ltd., was held in Beijing on April 25～28, 2006. On the first day of this Exhibition more than ten thousand visitors including 1100 foreigners visited this Exhibition with great interest. Many developed countries, such as United States, Italy, Belgium and Germany, organized a big exhibitor group. In particular, some exhibitors demonstrated their new products, e.g. South Korea’s equipment for manufacturing TFT grade transparent film LCD substrate glass, Japanese technology for producing acoustic, heat insulating laminated opaque glass, technology for transferring to oxygen combustion tank furnace. Chinese famous enterprises, such as China Triumph International Engineering Co. and Shangdong Glass Group etc., and many private middle and small sized companies also demonstrated their new products.
568 exhibitors including 234 foreign companies from 23 different countries demonstrated their products and technology and 10 special technical lectures were given in the Exhibition.
China International Glass Industrial Technical Exhibition is now, it is reported, the third largest glass exhibition in the world, just after Dusseldorf and Italy Milan International Glass Exhibition.
The next exhibition (18th China International Glass Industrial Technical Exhibition) will be held at Shanghai New International Expo Center on May the 16th ～ 19th , 2007. The exhibiting area will be further expanded.
