The Spring Festival Tea Party sponsored by furnace & equipment committee was held in Material College of Donghua University on January 11, 2006. More than 30 members of the special committee took part in this party, which was presided by vice president of Shanghai Ceramic Society Prof. Zheng Jinbiao. Director of Material College of Donghua University Prof. Jiang Weizhong made a welcoming speech first, and then the Director of furnace & equipment committee Prof. Sun Chengxu reviewed the work in 2005 and summarized the performance and problem in the past several years. The Secretary General of Shanghai Ceramic Society Mr. Zhang Shen also summarized the Society’s work in 2005 and described the proposals about 2006 as well as introduced the principal work in Chinese Ceramics Society. Mr. Wang Qingwei from Donghua University introduced the symposium on glass technology in Zhibo, Shandong Province and the symposium on energy saving for glass furnaces in Suzhou. The vice director Mr. Ningwei reported the proposal of furnace & equipment committee in 2006. Finally 8 participants made their speech for exchanging their thinking for greater achievements in 2006. They also discussed on technical investigation and innovation for glass furnaces according to the demands of development in China. All the participants expected that the new progress shall be achieved and the effects by the furnace & equipment committee shall be expanded in the new year.
